In a decision against the recent trend of removing Late Night Levies, Liverpool Licensing Committee are being reported as having decided to retain the LNL.

This scheme had been introduced in Liverpool in 2016 and requires an additional fee to be paid for those premises opening in the city between Midnight and 6 am.

There had been a formal review and consultation process last year. Following the public consultation, it was recommended that the scheme be dropped. However, the Licensing Committee are being reported as having decided to retain the charge at the present time due to financial pressures in general.
